Louie’s Backyard on Key West

Chef Doug Shook, at Louie’s Backyard on Key West , changes his menu everyday but one thing remains consistent, the quality.  Although in reality he does have some staples that make up a menu, what comes in fresh on a daily basis holds sway. The food goes under the rubric of “Caribbean” but just everything in Key West can be classified as Caribbean ! If it is grouper that is fresh today, then there is no better (or should I say fresher) place to be!

The atmosphere is what sells this story. Seated on the terrace, you have the Atlantic Ocean as the “backyard!”
